Charlotte’s Fitness Web

It’s not the only thing I do, but one of my favourites is: I’m a fitness instructor and I love it!

If you’ve ever considered becoming a fitness instructor, I seriously recommend it.  In the first place, you get paid to work out!  How great is that as incentive??  But there are other benefits: I have access to new information about fitness and wellness through workshops and seminars, and (best of all) I get to tell people what to do!  And they do it!!  They do it with a SMILE!  Seriously, you canNOT beat that!

My regular classes include two “Yogafit” classes on Monday and Friday evenings, a 75 min “Step Cardio Challenge” on Sunday mornings, a “Ball” class on Tuesdays at noon, a “Core Challenge” on Wednesday mornings, and a 75 min “Step ‘n Sculpt” class on Friday mornings.
I also sub other classes at various times.

Monday evening Yogafit at JBCC starts at 7:30pm.  For one hour we use yoga poses to stretch and strengthen.  It is designed to leave us relaxed and ready for a great night’s sleep.  Feel free to wear your jammies so that you can crawl right into bed when you get home.

Tuesday at 12:10pm we do a 45 minute blast using the big balls and weights to sculpt and work on our core strength.  Notice how quickly your balance improves when you attend regularly.

Wednesday morning Core class continues at the North Shore Neighbourhood House on 2nd just East of St. Andrews in the Frank Marcino Room in the basement.  This one hour no-cardio, no-equipment class starts at 8:45am.

Our Friday morning class is 75 mins with a ‘Step ‘n Sculpt‘ format (no advanced step choreography).  It fills up so get there early to get a number and ensure your spot in this well attended, hilariously fun, brutally hard class. 😉

Our Friday evening Yogafit start time is back to 6:45pm.  I look forward to seeing you then for the fastest hour in the universe, leaving us chill and ready for the weekend.

Sunday morning Step Challenge is all about working out our brains while giving us a chance to dance!  We do our weights in the warmup so that we can step/dance for the remainder of this 75 minute class.

I look forward to seeing you at the gym (or around town)!

P.S. On Apr 1/16 I missed my Friday evening yoga class to go and see my hero: Col. Chris Hadfield, perform with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra!  It was an awesome event!  Thanks for the tickets, Marina!

P.P.S. On Oct/11 I danced with 434 zombies in Vancouver for Thrill the World.  You seriously have to consider learning the zombie dance to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and joining.  It was SO MUCH FUN!

Don’t I make a drop-dead, gorgeous zombie?  LOL!

(Pun intended)
